PROFILE

The two year Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme is affiliated to Andhra University and approved by AICTE, a statutory part of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi. The program offers Marketing Management, Financial Management and Human Resource Management specializations. In order to integrate core business fundamentals with the needed specialized skills, the department offers add-on courses with special attention to Soft skills and Communication skills, and activities that support dynamic learning in order to prepare students for the constantly changing business environment. Students are groomed to sharpen their leadership qualities, decision making skills, strategic & analytical skills, social and interpersonal skills, cosmopolitan outlook, and sense of creativity and innovation.

• Eligibility criteria: A graduate in any area, qualifying in APICET. State Integrated Common Entrance Exam

 Purpose

To enhance the quality and employability of students in the globalised, managerial and technological environment by delivering superior and value added inputs

 Pedagogy

During a semester each curricular subject is allotted with four sessions per week. Besides conventional blackboard and regular classroom environment, teaching is carried out with the use of LCD projectors and audio visual equipment’s in seminar halls. Learner-Centric methods are given a priority, like that of Case study method, Role Plays, Quizzes, Presentations, Assignments, Mini Projects, Discussions and Debates. Workshops, Seminars and Field Visits form major part of the learning process as well.

A well equipped computer lab with internet facility is available for the students to make use of information technology for learning, and to acquaint themselves with on-line examination systems for different job interview processes. The subjects and subject delivery mechanism is also periodically revised to suit the market. Students’ active participation and involvement through team work, mentorship and group projects give an extra edge to the educational experience. Counselling sessions are facilitated to help students improve both on curricular and personal sphere.

 Management Club

The Management Club is an “of the students-by the students-for the students” institutional unit that endows students with the flair for organizing and managing professional events. It is a platform for students to express their multidimensional skills – artistic, literary and management. Some of the activities of the club are- managing events and organising Guest Lectures, Paper presentations, Role Plays, Debates, Quizzes, cultural programmes, sports activities and various competitions such as the Ad-Mad, Brand War, etc. These activities encourage them not only to learn to manage things on their own but also enhance their professional development.
