B.Sc Honours (Botany) is a course which provides complete basic knowledge about all levels of plant kingdom.
And also students can learn deep knowledge and practical experience on various topics of Botany. This course helps them to improve their knowledge and continue their studies in research.
The department ensures enriching experience of classroom lessons through interactive sessions and practice at lab sessions. Seminars and workshops by eminent senior professors are organized throughout the year, by all the departments. The highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members are a great asset to the department.
The program offers the study of 3 Science papers, 2 Language papers, and papers on Foundation Courses & Environmental studies, each of which is allotted a minimum of four sessions per week, with more weightage given to the core domain subjects.
In the Language papers, English is mandatory, but the second language of study depends on the student’s choice among Telugu, Hindi and Sanskrit. High importance is attached to Lab sessions for all domain papers.
The department is equipped with well furnished class rooms, seminar halls, and a well-stocked library. Laboratories are an integral part of the science curricula. And as such, the college provides multiple labs for each of its departments, Computer, Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Nutrition.
We have well equipped laboratories to meet the experimental needs of the subject. The laboratories ensure a flexible framework in order to hold dynamic student work groups, research zones, and support equipment's in spacious arrangements.
